Last week I attended a super lecture by George Monbiot – journalist, environmentalist, and political activist. I wanted to share it as I believe it is important in the context we live in today, i.e humanity rapidly consuming its way to some sort of catastrophe, and it dovetails nicely with a lot of the things I’ve been thinking about over the last few years, using to inform my life choices and so on. It’s about an hour and half long but very well worth the time, George is very articulate and has a very effective way of unpicking complex issues. It also carries a positive message with hope for the future. George’s website is also well worth a visit for his excellent articles on a range of important topics.
That’s it for now. I have much more to say but I’m trying to find a way to articulate all the thoughts that bounce around the void between my ears while out riding a bike. Above is embedded the archived live stream from the event in Penryn, it starts proper about 9 minutes in when George begins.
